Adopt a school vs fund a STEM programme — what’s the difference?
School adoption is a multi-year CSI partnership with one underperforming school: Saturday/holiday STEM, CAPS maths teacher PD, SMT coaching, baselines, targets, and termly SED-ready reports. Funding a STEM programme can be a shorter scoped workshop series without the full adoption wrap-around. JB Education designs both; adoption is built for measurable matric maths movement school by school.
How is this different from infrastructure or “name on a school” CSI?
We focus on learning outcomes — pass rates, attendance, and teacher/SMT practice — not buildings or branding. Sponsors get clear baselines, targets, and impact packs for B-BBEE / SED files, comparable to how corporates already work with us across South Africa.
What pass-rate results have CSI sponsors seen?
Results depend on baseline. Documented examples include Lumko High School moving from 79% to 90% under ACSA sponsorship, and other partner schools showing sharp one-year gains where STEM Saturday/holiday support and SMT coaching ran together.
